Like many during the pandemic, I spent TONS of time in the garden. Soon after I pivoted and made flowers my career. I believe flowers truly are nature’s gift to the world- they have the ability to lighten any room and put a smile on any face. What could be better than that? I also love that flowers can never be “wrong” it’s such a relief to know my style and designs can just be enjoyed without rules. Flowers are fun, after all. I truly I have to pinch myself every time I realize I get to call floristry my career.
My floral aesthetic is definitely a bit unbridled, like nature. I like to call it thoughtfully natural or thoughtfully organic. Perfectly mounded and manicured flowers are not my thing, the more natural they look, the better. Wildflower meadows, a well established English countryside garden, and lots of dripping vines and movement of stems come to mind when I think of my personal floral aesthetic. Wildflowers and foraging are my jam. I also strive to create sustainable designs whenever possible such as using floral wiring instead of foam and purchasing from local growers.
Perhaps above all, I value the unique relationship between florist and client. Your vision and your aesthetic are my utmost priority.
